OIL THERAPY
Swedish Massage

A Swedish massage is designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the
muscles in long, gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the
heart. But the benefits of Swedish massage go beyond relaxation. It can help
increase the level of oxygen in the blood and improve circulation and
flexibility.
In a Swedish massage, the therapist lubricates the skin with massage oil or lotion and performs various massage strokes. These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle "knots" or adhered tissues, called
adhesions.
Swedish massage is for more relaxation and to create increased circulation of
blood and lymph, for relief of pain, improved mood and better sleep. You'll
want to choose deeper tissue massage for chronic pains that are more
muscular in origin, to help your posture and range of motion during the
healing process.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage offers both physical and psychological benefits. Unlike other massage techniques that focus on relaxation, deep tissue massage helps to treat muscle pain and improve stiffness. But it can still help to you unwind mentally, too.

Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue. It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Before your deep tissue massage, your massage therapist will want to know about your problem areas. A deep tissue massage can involve your entire body or just one area. The massage therapist will warm up your muscles using a lighter touch. Once you’re warmed up, they’ll start working on your problem areas. They’ll use deep kneading and stroking with varying amounts of intense pressure.
Aroma Therapy Massage
Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts
to promote health and well-being. Sometimes it’s called essential oil therapy.
Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health
of the body, mind, and spirit. It enhances both physical and emotional health.
Aromatherapy is thought of as both an art and a science. Recently,
aromatherapy has gained more recognition in the fields of science and
medicine.

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for certain benefits. Examples include lavender, orange and bergamot, and eucalyptus. These “aromas” are all plant-based derivatives from herbs, tree extracts, and flowers. Essential oils are extremely concentrated so to be used correctly they should be diluted into milder oils, humidifiers, or lotions.
